Draught beer is classified by:
Ale - Stout - Lager - Cider
ALE -
Ale is a beer style brewed from barley
malt with a brewers yeast that ferments quickly, giving a sweet, full body
and a fruity, and sometimes a butter-like taste. Most ale contains some herb
or spice, usually hops, which imparts a bitter, herbal flavour which
balances the malt sweetness

Stout and porter are
dark beers made using roasted malts or roast barley. There are a number of
variations including Baltic porter, sweet stout and Imperial stout.
Lager beer, which was
first brewed in Germany some 500 years ago, has since become one of the most
popular types of beer in the world. The word comes from German and means "to
store". Traditionally, the beer is stored in barrels for several weeks or
longer before being served.

Cider generally has a stronger
alcoholic content than beer, usually over 5%, and golden yellow or cloudy
appearance. To produce cider, apples are washed, then grated or mashed, then
pressed (usually in a stone mill or hydraulic press) then fermented in oak
vats using natural or added yeasts.
